Keeping You Safe

Masks will no longer be required for audiences attending OrpheusPDX performances at Lincoln Performance Hall. We continue to welcome and encourage patrons to wear masks, particularly those who are immunocompromised or unvaccinated. Proof of vaccination is not required for entry. However, we strongly recommend that patrons be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

Policies are subject to change based on local, state, or federal guidelines and recommendations. Any policy or schedule change will be communicated in a timely and transparent way. The safety of our audiences, artists, and staff remains our highest priority. We ask that patrons be respectful of one another’s choices.

In the event that you contract COVID-19 and have tickets to a performance, we are able to issue a full refund of your ticket minus the ticket processing fee. Please send proof of a positive COVID-19 test to BoxOffice@OrpheusPDX.org. We ask that you do not attend the performance if you are feeling under the weather.

Thanks very much for your understanding. Please stay safe!

Don’t worry about following the drama—we project English captions above the stage at every performance. These are sometimes referred to as surtitles. They’re like the subtitles of a foreign movie.

There is no dress code—please come as you are. The way you present yourself to the world is a reflection of your own identity. No matter how you dress, you are welcome here!

Unlike the timeless argument about not applauding between movements at the symphony, no one in opera really cares. Wait until the performer finishes singing (solo or group) and applaud if you are moved to do so. At the end of the show, you may hear shouts of “Bravo”—feel free to join in!

Intermission typically lasts about 20 minutes—enough time to use the restroom, enjoy a beverage, or mingle with your fellow audience members.

Just because the opera is over doesn’t mean the night has to be! OrpheusPDX has a Q&A session after each performance with performers fresh from their dressing rooms. Feel free to join us—let us know what you thought of the show or ask any question you may have.

Vaccination status will not be checked upon arrival, but we strongly recommend that patrons be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
